In addition to unrivalled DSL performance on a per wire pair basis, our Network Extenders aggregate DSL pairs ‘loop bonding’ to double, treble or quadruple the DSL line speed from 2.3Mbps up to 9.2Mbps (loop distance, wire gauge and quality of installation dependant).

Our unique IP based Network Extender technology maximises Ethernet data throughput allowing maximum data rates together with intelligent Quality of Service (QoS) traffic prioritisation, fully IEEE802.1pq compliant allowing either:

  • Passive transmission of extended or ‘tagged’ Ethernet packets
  • Automatic recognition and prioritisation of higher-order Ethernet packets in conjunction with QoS compliant applications such as IP Telephony, VoIP and Video broadcast systems.
  • Highly selective QoS prioritisation using IP address (ranges), VLAN, Diffserv techniques when used with our DSLAM products.

So all the throughput, product deployment and support benefits of Ethernet Layer2 combined with the intelligent traffic management of Ethernet Layer3.
