SPECIAL OFFER: BT EPS Health Check & Circuit Deployment Programmes

Carrier Class – Extended Networks interconnect using Telco cable infrastructure such as British Telecom’s Baseband Premier (EPS8) and Baseband standard (EPS9) circuits for short haul connectivity. These circuits are also known as ‘Local Loop or Last Mile’ circuits and when installed correctly are extremely reliable in operation, they have to be as connectivity to the UK’s national telephone network (including the emergency services) depends upon them! By the way, the acronym ‘EPS’ means ‘Engineer’s Performance Specification’ and originates from the days when the UK Post Office installed and operated the national telecommunications network.
Network Extender’s communications engineers have been successfully delivering reliable short haul communications systems using EPS circuits in excess of 20 years. In the early 1980’s EPS line speeds of 9.6Kbps were being achieved using baseband modems or line drivers.
Today Net To Net Technologies G.SHDSL broadband modems are delivering 4.6Mbps on exactly the same EPS copper circuits and the emerging G.SHDSL.bis standard will provide line speeds in excess of 10Mbps in 2005, a testimony to the designers and developers of Network Extender technologies and Net To Net Technologies Inc. is firmly positioned as a world leader in this area of communications technology.
BT’s EPS circuits were originally designed to carry low frequency voice traffic (300 – 3.4Khz) and need a little more care during installation when used to carry very high frequency broadband traffic (400Khz) in a similar way that your Cat5e structured cabling systems are installed carrying very high frequency Ethernet (LAN) traffic.
Network Extender’s EPS Deployment Programmes include the following technical services to ensure the EPS circuits are installed, reliable and ready for broadband data transmission:
- EPS Infrastructure termination advice
- EPS Test and commissioning (G.SHDSL Benchmarking)
- EPS Test and commissioning reports
- BT EPS Technical Workshop – EPS Optimisation
- EPS Health checks
- BT EPS Circuit Technical Investigations – To identify and resolve any remaining EPS line problems (Clean Sweep)
- BT Liaison for technical problem resolution
Contact Network Extender now for price details to ensure the deployment of your EPS infrastructure is installed to Oftel’s ANFP standards and is ready for use with G.SHDSL broadband technologies as used by Carrier Class – Extended Networks
